Thianh Tran
CO-FOUNDER
Guided by her grandmother's wisdom, Thi Anh grew up in a small Vietnamese village nestled between rice paddies, south of Sài Gòn. In 1995, under the Lingering Shadows of the Vietnam War, her family moved to the United States when Thi was 10 years old. This introduced her to stark new cultural experiences. The transition challenged Thi Anh to navigate a different world while keeping her heritage alive. Now, within the Zero Initiative, she will use her unique background to advocate for 'Intergenerational Dialogue' within culture and sustainability.
Tomas Muscionico
CO-FOUNDER
Born in the Swiss Alps, Tomas received a master's in photography from the Schule für Gestaltung Zürich. He then moved to New York, where he began to make his mark by documenting social issues and global events in fifty countries, capturing conflicts and icons like Nelson Mandela, Bill Clinton, George Soros, Mahershala Ali, and Anthony Bourdain, among others. His work includes a World Press Photo award, exhibitions at the United Nations, and features in major publications like Time, Rolling Stone, and The New York Times. In 2023, he and his partner, Thi Anh Tran, co-founded the Zero Initiative, which currently advises the famed Brazilian reforestation program Instituto Terra in Europe and the United States.
